Daily Routine Student

As students, having a routine is important to maintain a healthy balance between school, personal life, studies, and extracurricular activities. Check out this example of a planned day to make the most of each hour and get organized throughout the day.

Morning Routine Get Up Early (6 -7 AM)

This is the time to get ready and also finish your chores. Early mornings are a great time for introspection and planning.

Exercise or Stretch (7 – 7:30 AM)

Do some yoga or go out for a walk for a few minutes. It’s important to shake off the sleepiness in your body and mind.

Healthy Breakfast (7:30 – 8 AM)

Break your night’s fast with a nutritious meal which gives the powerful nourishment that your body and brain needs.

Review the Day’s Plan (8 -8:15 AM)

Spend just 15 minutes in thinking and reflecting about the day that’s coming your way.

School Time (8:30 AM to 3 PM)

Morning Classes This is the time you have to participate in your lectures and study sessions. Pay attention and ask doubts if you have any. Breaks (Mid-morning) After the standard classroom sessions, try and loosen up a bit. Drink some water in your breaks, eat a small snack, or chat with your friends briefly.

Lunch Break (12 – 1 PM)

Have lunch and give your brain some time off from studies. Relax! And use this time to relax a bit! Afternoon Classes If you feel a bit worn out after your lunch, try to reengage during your afternoon classes Credit:

Giphy Afternoon Activities (3- 6 PM)

Extracurricular Activities or Sports (3 – 5 PM) Schools have clubs or sports after the school hours. The idea is to move your body and take your mind off from academics. So whether it’s sports/music/art or whatever else your school club has, do join in!

Homework or Study Session (5 – 6.30 PM)

Spend a little time recapping what was talked about in class. Work on your homework and ongoing assignments in a quiet space. If need be, take 5 minute breaks to avoid stressing your eyes!

Evening Routine

Dinner with Family (7:00-8:00 PM): A wholesome meal is probably what would recharge in the morning and after a long day. Keep those special family moments to the time of dinner.
Relax or Hobbies (8:00-8:30 PM): Wind down with reading, watching TV, or basic hobby material that washes one down.
Review of Tomorrow’s Schedule (8:30-9:00 PM): Organize tasks and pack your things for the next day. Set priorities for upcoming assignments or projects.

Night Routine

Study Session: Night owls take evening hours to really focus on tough subjects or revisions; this is a quiet time for itself that is meant to do so.
Prepare for Bed (10:00-10:30 PM): Calm down; listen to music or read – no screens, if possible.
Sleep: Inked, quiet, rest your mind from 10:30 to 11:00 PM, about 7-8 hours, which is good for your thinking and healthy.

Tips for Students Creating Productive Student Routines:

Stay Organized: Use a planner or digital app to track assignments, exams, and extracurricular commitments.
Prioritize Tasks: Focus on completing the most important tasks first to reduce stress.
Stay Healthy: Regular exercise, balanced meals, and enough sleep keep the mind sharp and energy levels high.
Take Breaks: Short, frequent breaks can help refresh the mind and improve concentration during study sessions.
While this routine can be modified to suit one’s specific academic pressure and needs, it does in itself offer an anchor for successfully juggling academics with personal life.
